Username confusion

I'm encountering issues where adding a 2nd friend with the same username as the first (and also a local user), is showing both avatars available to each other.

This became evident while viewing a DM from one of these users via EMA, the right avatar was displayed but from the wrong sender.

Additionally, I couldn't access the DM via the Friends app

Yeah, I actually had to deal with this issue a while back, because I use deadsuperhero pretty much everywhere. When I tried to delete a connection to my old (no-longer-maintained) personal WordPress blog, WordPress tried to delete my local deadsuperhero user on WeDistribute. So, the remote ActivityPub account I'm connected to through Friends now has to be referred to as dsh, which can cause other issues, like DMs failing to send.
