Stops working after about an hour

At work with both WiFi and wired connection working, after maybe an hour or so, Krapka seems to receive no response from DNS any more while in fact the internet connection is very much alive. This has happened three times now. After closing and re-opening it I get latencies of around 2 ms. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help debug this.

• Did you close or put your Mac to sleep before the issue occurred?
• If you manually stop the app (by clicking Stop Pinging in the options) and then start it again (Start Pinging), does it resume working? Or can the issue only be resolved by fully restarting the app?
• Does the issue occur when you change networks, VPNs, etc.?
• Does your Mac have any installed Network Extensions, Firewalls, or similar network-related software?

No, but the screen was locked at some point before it occurred. However, simply locking the screen does not trigger it.

If you manually stop the app (by clicking Stop Pinging in the options) and then start it again (Start Pinging), does it resume working? Or can the issue only be resolved by fully restarting the app?

I'll check that next time it happens and report back. I haven't used it since starting this issue.

Edit: It happened again while I was using the Cisco VPN (since before I started Krapka), connected only to WiFi. Stop Pinging/Start Pinging made it work again.

Edit 2: It happened again, only ten minutes later, under the same circumstances, and this time Stop/Start was not enough, I had to quit and reopen the app.

I didn't intentionally change networks. However, I was connected to both LAN and WiFi – I don't know how macOS juggles multiple connections.

Come to think of it, happened on a University network with a firewall that is known to be quite trigger happy. Maybe the constant pings triggered a block at some point? But then it would be strange that restarting the app made it work again.

Does your Mac have any installed Network Extensions, Firewalls, or similar network-related software?

I use TripMode, with filtering enabled when using the tethered phone connection. It's running in the background all the time.

There's also Cisco Secure Client (VPN) which I wasn't using when the issue occurred, but it has a component that runs in the background all the time, doing God knows what.
