Generate CSS for both styles light/dark

What problem does this feature solve?

I'd like to be able to generate highlighting with classes and generate CSS for both light and dark themes together. So I can simply switch between the two on frontend by adding dark class to HTML tag.

What feature do you propose?

Special themes which generate same classes for both dark and light styles.

Right now, in order to solve this, I have to create two different formatters with two different styles. Additionally, I have to, for the dark theme, split CSS by lines and add the .dark class for each line.

Plus I can see styles affect which classes are generated and they're not really that much.

I ended with something like this:
