First Things first: Its just awesome to have those Addons available! It allows me to set up a local Nextcloud in the Household, just continue using my RPi 4 with HAOS installed. @alexbelgium: Thank you so much!! 👍 👍 👍
Now, this is no Question regarding an Addon, but how to Handle the possible implications of (possible) heavy-weighted Addon, in my Case Nextcloud.
I am wondering whats you Best-Practice regarding Backups. I take Daily Full Backups, easily restore HA completely to a previous State. Especially "Completely Wipe and Restore" is a Nobrainer and really handy when st terrible goes wrong. Saved me a lot of hassle in the Past.
But with a Full Backup, of Course the complete /share gets saved as well. That means, in Case of Nextcloud, increasing the Size of my Backup from some hundred Megs to all Nextcloud Files. A Lot of Gigabytes.
I dont need that.
I can take Partial Backups, sure, but then im loosing the Benefit of a Full "Wipe and Restore" Backup.
How do you Guys handle that, is there a Best-Practice how to exclude Folders while keeping it beeing a Full-Backup? Can another Location be set, that doesn't get included in Full Backups?
