Can we set the timer after recording started?

As in title. Most of time, we want to auto shut the recording off some time into the recording

It’s not currently possible, but I’m curious about your use case. What kind of situations would benefit from setting a timer after recording has already started?

The main challenge here would be where to place this option in the UI, it might need to go under an advanced menu in the toolbar or be accessed via clicking on the timer itself as a popup, which might hurt discoverability.

That said, if there’s enough interest, I’d be open to exploring this.

I think it would be great to add this as an option under “More options”, named “Auto Stop.”

When toggled on, it could display a number input next to the radio button.
Then, when the selected time is reached, a simple alert could appear, such as:

and while the user recording and it's reaching to the selected time , show a simple alert like "3 minute until the end..."
