Hi All,
Since sharing the initial timeline for migrating apps from MWS-API to SP-API, we have continued to listen to Developer feedback and learned that developers would benefit from additional time for effective planning and roadmap prioritization. Effective July 1, 2021, we have moved the migration requirement date to July 31, 2022.
Additionally by August 31, 2021, we will launch an update to the Selling Partner API for Orders to return the required data based on your eligibility within a single call similar to MWS Orders API. The new timeline will allow developers to better plan for the upcoming changes.
Please note, all third-party developed applications authorized by selling partners in the Marketplace Appstore (“public applications”) that access Amazon MWS Orders, Reports, and Merchant Fulfillment Network (MFN) sections will continue to have access through July 31, 2022. Also, the requirement for Developers whose SP-API applications use Direct-to-Consumer Fulfillment, Tax, Shipping, or Reports use cases will not require use of the new access protocol (a Restricted Data Token) for specified operations and report types in the Orders, MFN, Shipping, and Reports sections until July 31, 2022.
All other details previously shared are still applicable and please reference the prior announcement for full details. Developers with a migration support case already open in Seller Central, will receive a follow up within the case related to this update.
Best regards,
The Selling Partner API team
