Hi All,
Starting July 23, 2021, products sold under Beauty, Grocery, Health_Personal_Care, Food, Beverage, Cleaning_Product, and Pet Supplies will require your feeds to include the unit count and unit_count_type attributes.
What is changing?
In 2020, the listing attribute requirements were changed to require the unit count and unit_count_type attributes in 1x1 and bulk templates for products sold under Beauty, Grocery, Health_Personal_care, Food, Beverage, Cleaning_Product, and Pet Supplies in the US, Spain, UK, France, Germany, Italy, and India.
Now, we are expanding these to the Feeds API as well. This makes these required attributes across all listing methods.
These product types require these unit count attributes:
unit_count
value (for example, “5”), and aunit_count_type
(for example, “ounce”, “count”, “gram”).For new items in the categories above, these are mandatory fields that you must provide during the listing process. For existing items, you can submit or update unit count attributes in the listing templates or by visiting the Listing Quality Dashboard.
Which marketplaces are affected?
The US, Spain, UK, France, Germany, Italy, and India marketplaces are affected.
Who is affected?
Developers with applications that upload or update product listings using the Feeds API are affected.
What action is required?
If you have an application that is affected, be sure to include
unit_count
andunit_count_type
attributes for all ASINs under the Beauty, Grocery, Health_Personal_Care, Food, Beverage, Cleaning_Product and Pet Supplies product type categories.More information
For more information, see the "Price per unit requirements for consumables" Seller Central Help page for your region.
Best regards,
