i set it up but how do i get my friend to connect?

i want to make a opvn file so they can just do openvpn --config ./file.opvn and it will be the same network but honestly im really confused

they need to install wireguard-tools and when you create a config for their connection send it to them and they put it in /etc/wireguard/wg0.conf

then they run

sudo systemctl enable --now wg-quick@wg0

and it will be enabled and always run

sudo systemctl disable --now wg-quick@wg0

and it is disabled and stopped.

the wireguard conf file you get can also be imported into mobile wireguard clients and the windows wireguard client, they all use the same configuration format.

i don't think you can use openVPN with wireguard, it's a different protocol.
