PowerShell snippet does not work in PowerShell Core on Windows 10

In the WinRM Setup section of Windows Remote Management — Ansible Community Documentation, the Create HTTPS listener PowerShell snippet does not work on PowerShell Core 7.5.1 on Windows 10 22H2(Build 19045):

New-WSManInstance: The WS-Management service cannot process the request. The resource URI is missing or it has an incorrect format. Check the documentation or use the following command for information on how to construct a resource URI: "winrm help uris".

On the other hand, this snippet runs perfectly on Windows PowerShell, so we probably should require the user to run it in it instead.

Confirmed: that step fails on PS 7.5. Looks to be a long-standing bug in PS Core. I see lots of mentions of it (even people calling that out Microsoft's own doc sample for that cmdlet doesn't work), and found someone suggesting a workaround:

Replacing the Set-WSManInstance call with a New-Item against the WSMan provider works for me in both 5.1 and 7.5:

New-Item -path WSMan:\localhost\Listener -Address * -Transport HTTPS -Enabled $true -CertificateThumbPrint $cert.Thumbprint
