I think there are several DataFusion contributors in the Denver area -- @avantgardnerio and @andygrove come to mind

So it might be nice to organize a meetup in Denver to bring the community together.

I would be willing to help organize speakers and a program for such an event

I contacted a local recruiting outfit that is engaged with the community and often hosts events like this, so hopefully they will say yes! I haven't asked them yet, but I'm fairly sure my company would spring for food & drinks. That should just about do it, right?

The rest is time & date, and I'm fairly open in that regard, as long as there's fair notice.
