properties goal to generate properties that contain directly the version (not the path)

Use case: I basically want to produce properties that contain the computed version of a transitive dependency.

Unfortunately the generated properties only contain the path, so it could generate as well something like:
${dependencyVersion.groupId:artifactId:type:[classifier]} or any other format
