Using pekko-connectors kafka consumer doesn't report exception with invalid schema when using schema registry

When using pekko kafka connectors on a kafka cluster that runs schema registry, if there is an error/mismatch in the schema wen consuming topics the kafka consumer just eventually dies rather than throwing/reporting the exception so that the user knows what is happening.
