setting up satellite meet ups

Having one "perfect" location for a conference is always the most ideal, however its not realistic.
What we can do instead to raise inclusivity, is to promote the idea of a satellite meetup/watch party-like setup where other sponsors can host a few talks and give groups in far away (from the main event) places an easier way to have an in-person event still connected to the conference.

The idea being to take the best bit of being connected digitally and physically.

I like the idea of satellite events, but can't scope it for AsyncAPI Conference yet. I've organised these for Microsoft Developer Events (MSBuild and others) that have a huge audience, virtually and on site, and still participation in satellite events (streaming parties) was scarce. The more specific the topic becomes, the smaller gets the group of potential attendees. Maybe even to a level where it's not feasible for sponsors to support such an event (<20 attendees maybe? I believe that having 5 great attendees is worth more than having 50 people coming in for pizza and drinks. But for potential sponsors everything less that 30 or so might be rather unattractive.).
