Obviously, I support it 😆 but I'm biased as I supported Barbano in the proposal 😄 |

Thank you very much, @asyncapi/tsc_members, for your feedback and for supporting the program. Let's work on it! 🚀 It would be great if you could leave your opinion on this: Do you want the entire TSC to accept new Ambassadors, or prefer to delegate to some folks? On whom? Thanks again! 🙏 |

Dear @asyncapi/tsc_members,
We need your approval for the AsyncAPI Ambassador program. This program aims to bring AsyncAPI closer to the existing users and potential users of the project. The goal is to scale faster the number of people in the community that advocates for AsyncAPI Initiative and promotes it in different ways. The program was discussed here. You can check the final program in this PR.
The most important points are:
It will work through TSC or its delegates in charge of maintaining the community repositories and evaluating applications from potential ambassadors based on compliance with the requirements. They will be done through a PR flow.
Participation will be determined and verified annually. The minimum requirements for ambassadorship are to make 4 contributions per year in the form of articles, talks, videos, podcasts, presentations, impulse initiatives…
Ambassadors will have some benefits from their work:
Free tickets to the AsyncAPI 2022 in-person conference.
Receiving a special ambassador swag package (valued at approximately $150, including shipping and handling). Everything related to swags has been discussed in this thread.
Getting a gift package for conference or workshop participants (valued at approximately $70, including shipping and handling).
Summary:
Accepting the new Ambassador program. More details in this PR.
We have identified already 6 people for this year that should be able to fulfill the requirements. This means the total expense for this year would be $900 ($150 per ambassador).
It’s hard to predict how many will do some in-person presentations this year to apply for a gift package.
Also, please share opinions. Do you want the entire TSC to accept new Ambassadors, or prefer to delegate to some folks? If yes, who would that be in your opinion?
You have 14 days to vote (YES/NO) or suggest changes.
Thank you very much!
