@AceTheCreator and @derberg came up with an idea that goes as follows... Users and contributors of AsyncAPI should be able to schedule an appointment with any of the Technical steering committees.

Each technical steering committee should be able to select a date and time at which they'll be available for calls.

Tl;dr. only interested TSC members would be selected. It's voluntary :)

Please kindly share your opinion on this idea.

Well, you are too humble. It is your idea, and the only thing that I did was that I agreed with you 😄

I'm happy to do it. I actually do it quite often with different contributors. I think we need a balance here, where we enable as many public conversations as possible, but we also need to allow more private discussions. There are many people out there that are not ok having discussions in public, for reasons like impostor syndrome, but not only.

We just need to remember a very important rule that we have written in the charter for AsyncAPI: no decisions on a call. So if you have a call with someone, and you decide on something, you share it with the community publicly in an issue and let others actually change the decision if possible.

ATTENTION: before you say: "I can't do it as I have other responsibilities" remember that this is up to you to decide when you are available. Nobody expects 24/7 availability. If you commit to at least 1h a month, this will already be a great thing! Less will also be good

We'll be using Google meets, but we are currently working on the community section where the meetings will be displayed :)

In case it helps, for scheduling you may want to use https://github.com/calcom/cal.com. It's open source and they also have a commercial version you can use at https://www.cal.com.

And yeah please, let's leave it open to use any platform of our choice. Google Meets sucks big 😅
