Description

@TranHuuNhatHuy is working on a post processing script to reduce the number of output nodes in the converted map, so that we can load it on Autoware. The next step is to confirm that the output maps can be used with Autoware, using a sample scenario.

Currently I see the following blockers:

  • OpenDRIVE to LL2 conversion: ongoing, possible with limitations (no infrastructure elements, no global coordinate conversion).

Purpose

Utilize state of the art safety tools and frameworks for the Autoware stack. Specifically for this task, we would like to utilize safety pool as part of the continuous integration pipeline for Autoware

Possible approaches

open-source CommonRoad tool can be used

Definition of done

We have an ongoing process and scripts available to convert from OpenDrive <=> Lanelet2
