reading already present tags

Would it be possible for Samplecat to read tags which are already present inside the wave file (like the one that can be found in BOOM sound fxs libraries)?

I tried one at random from https://mixkit.co/free-sound-effects/boom/ but it didn't appear to contain much in the way of tags.

I was looking around for free sound effect and I came across some free BOOM sound fx libraries.

Also in other libraries from them, in the description of the sound library, the following is stated:

Rich Metadata Embedded
To provide you with the fastest and easiest workflow possible, all files contain extensive metadata like file description & keywords to quickly find the sounds you’re looking for. Metadata can be read and processed by audio management tools. Some digital audio workstations feature an included search tool that can also read embedded metadata. Here are the most common audio management tools: Soundminer, Basehead, Soundly.

Curious about what I've read, I wrote a simple python script to grab those "tags and metadata" for some sound taken from the "Death Whistle" sound library.

Here's the code I've used:

I found particularly interesting the comment field which actually contains some sound description keywords that might be useful for doing a quick search on samples.

Here's the comment field from the output for another audio file from the same library (CREAEthr_Aztec Death Whistle Reverberant Scream High Long Increasing_B00M_MBDW.wav):

Its unfortunate that the comment field is being used for tags as this seems to offer poor semantics and is likely to be non-standard.

Hello @ayyi, you are right...

I do not know whether the method of entering metadata in the comment field is standard.

My sound library, although quite extensive, does not include samples from libraries considered to be "professional". Rather, most of the sounds I handle come from free, public domain sources.

I also confess that I am not at all familiar with other management tools for audio files (such as Soundminer, Basehead or Soundly) and I do not know what mechanisms these tools use to classify or search them.

In any case, I have just sent you the audio file on your e-mail.

Consider the reasoning we are doing together in this issue not so much as an unavoidable feature request, but as food for thought :)
