Assume it's some environment variable miss set? Where is this coming from?

How do i debug it?

Hmph - i think it's env settings, but i can't figure out which.

i did unset BACALHAU_API_HOST and i couldn't tell.

It'd be great if it said where the invalid address type was (and, ideally, if we could just "make" it valid)

I see. The issue is the api host configuration, configured through BACALHAU_API_HOST , was pointing to https://4ada178a98-aee8-4d5f-b8db-ee6514735347.us1.cloud.expanso.io because you were running some client operations, but then tried to run a node in the same environment, which is causing the node's api server to listen on that host, which wouldn't work.

The problem we have is that we are using a single configuration for both client and serve operations. This is making serveral things easier, but at the same time is causing these types of issues.

We might have to prioritize ENG-107 for 1.8
