Can this be used for blinds that do not report their position back?

I have RF-controlled blinds that do not report their position to home assistant. I can however command the blinds to go up/down, and know the time it approximately takes per blind to go down and up. Can i then use this integration?

I would love to have a system that automatically turns blinds down but only gradually based on sun position, and also turns them up completely when the sun is hiding behind clouds.

I am in the situation. Some of my roller shutters don't report back their position, this happens only when operated from their own remotw control, when operated from HA the position is reported correctly.
For me it would be great that for this kind of roller shutters/blinds/etc , the integration first fully open/close the shutter just to know its position, and then turn the integration on.
