So for anyone wanting to do this - yes I was on the right track. Because the height has no bearing in the maths calculation, you just want to try and pretend that the floor is the height of the TV or whatever object you're interested in the shadow falling on. i.e. with a 2.3 m window that you want to keep from a TV whose base is 800mm from the floor, you set the window height to be 1.5m, and the 'value when closing starts' to be 65% (or whatever value your blind lines up to the base of the TV). |

So I've been trying to work out how to adjust the values for this - Essentially I have an area that is 2 metres away from the window, but elevated (a TV I don't want the sun to hit directly). But my brain hurts trying to think of how to manipulate the values to get the maths to work. Do I set the window height to be artificially lower (i.e, raising the height of the floor up to the height of the TV?)
