Which version of Erlang?

Hi,
which version of Erlang can I use with latest release Riak KV 3.0.3 ?

It is tested on OTP 20 to OTP 22. OTP 22 is the recommended version for new installations.

I stumbled into another problem, I am testing on Ubuntu 20.04 and basically have installed Erlang like below,
what could be the problem?

Not sure. It is failing to fetch packages using git, do you have outbound access for the git protocol?

Perhaps try forcing everything to use https:

git config --global url."https://github.com/".insteadOf [email protected]:
git config --global url."https://".insteadOf git://

Perhaps my initial idea is wrong here. It appears the cuttlefish was fetched successfully (from {git,"git://github.com/basho/cuttlefish.git",{tag,"2.1.0"}}), but then rebar3_cuttlefish was not from {git,"https://github.com/basho/rebar3_cuttlefish",{tag,"0.2.0"}}}.

I don't believe there's any permissions involved, these are public repos. So I'm not sure why you would get an issue on a specific machine. The tags being requested look perfectly valid.

Thanks Martin for swift reply, really appreciated!

No idea, I have tested on my laptop and there it worked, this vmware server was just installed, so maybe I have added some package or config on my laptop that made it work.
Hoever, it worked nicely with the git config lines, I also hade to add package libpam0g-dev.
Now it compiled through, I just have to create deb package for internal use.

So this is my notes, in case you want to add it on the quick start page:
