Failing to use data-maska-eager with Vuetify v-text-field

It seems, eager mode is ignored when I use

<v-text-field v-model="mydate" v-maska="'####-##-##'" data-maska-eager>

I can get eager mode using an options object but what am I missing here?

OK, seems the problem is that maska looks for the data-attribute on the nested input element while vue will set the data-attribute on the component's outermost element (div). Could maska be changed to look for its custom attributes there?
