Get status of running batch

Is there a simple way to get the status and data of a batch by passing the batch ID?

Currently if a batch is running for hours, the process must stay open in order to retrieve the data.

Is it possible to:

• Start a batch
• Script ends
• Run script to check the batch status via ID and retrieve the formatted data if it's completed

So I think you are asking for a async feature in batch mode.

basically you have to exit the batch mode script (curator) and it should return a task/job id which you can use to poll it later.

Let me get back to you on this.
