We are currently using LiveCharts2 (WPF, SkiaSharpView) in our application with SkiaSharp v2.88.x. we noticed an upgradation is available in SkiaSharp due to older versions being flagged.
The upgrade recommendation points to:
Short-Term: SkiaSharp v2.88.9
Long-Term: SkiaSharp v3.116.1
We would like to understand:
when we can move to SkiaSharp either v2.x or v3.x?
Is LiveCharts2 (2.0.0rc2 or 2.0.0rc5.4(latest)) compatible with SkiaSharp v3.x?
Would you recommend staying on v2.88.9 or moving to v3.x for long-term support and security?
Is there any internal compatibility or rendering performance reason on v2.x ? On what basis you would make the judgement ?
We are trying to make an informed decision between this skiaSharp v2.x and v3.x version upgrade, and want to ensure with LiveCharts2 visual rendering capabilities.
