Description
zhongzhong, the chinese popup dictionary (before it, and all the other chinese popup dictionaries were killed by the MV2 support discontinuing (thank you guys for being MV3 compatible so I can still use this blessèd extension)) had this feature where you could press "v" and it would have your tts read the highlighted word aloud. I really appreciated this because even if I knew how to pronounce the word, hearing it said aloud was yet another piece of feedback that would help me remember the word. Particularly because it was like engaging a different sense since my visual sense was already engaged seeing the shape and written pronunciation of the word, having the auditory sense engaged with the actual pronunciation was helpful for memory.
Was wondering if this would be a feature that would ever get added to 10ten? I think maybe the right UX would be to autoselect a Japanese tts on the user's system via some heuristic (perhaps first in the list) but then let the user change the voice via a dropdown menu in the options page, and then be able to set a hotkey to read a word out loud which could default to v or something
Cheers guys thank you for this wonderful extension!
