I have been experimenting with the BirdNET GUI and command-line interfaces. I have manually added these anthropogenic and mammalian classes to the species list, and it still does not detect some of the sounds when they are present. I purposely parked my vehicle next to the PAM and revved the engine to ensure I would have some pilot data to experiment with.
I have defined them in the speices_list file as follows:
Engine_Engine
Human non-vocal_Human non-vocal
Human vocal_Human vocal
Human whistle_Human whistle
Gun_Gun
Canis lupus_Gray Wolf
Canis latrans_Coyote
Dog_Dog
Does anyone know whether the model is simply not calling these sounds for classification or if there is some error on my part?
Thanks in advance for your time.
Tom Bruce
