I'm taking field recordings and looking into whether I can automate bird detection and tagging. I'm trying to use BirdNet Analyzer for this. Individual birds can be heard in some recordings, which works well. However, especially with longer recordings which do not focus on one bird and where a whole series of birds tends to overlap, I get less precise detections. For example, a blackbird singing clearly in the background isn't detected, while I can't hear other detections – but that could also be my fault.
So I wanted to ask here which detection settings others prefer. Do the default settings already produce the most reliable results? What are your observations?

Hello,
I'm taking field recordings and looking into whether I can automate bird detection and tagging.
I'd been thinking about how I'd like the detections to be displayed for easy comparison. So I took the BirdNet Analyzer code and created an alternative display that presents the detections slightly differently.
