Some question about Annotation Type

when creating a new annotation type,  there are some options which I do not know how to deal with.
First there are 3 checkbox options namly 'Active', 'Enable blurred', and 'Enable concealed'.
Could you please give an example as well as the default values ?
Also there is an option named 'node count' which should be an integer. But I don't know which number to fill it.
