Events color sync with Google Calendar not working?

Hi,

(I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I don't understand something, that's why I'm opening a discussion, not a bug)

• I use Google Calendar
  I have one main default calendar.
  There are events, each with a different color. It looks like this:

• On my Android phone I have:
  • the official Google Calendar app completely disabled
  • the DAVx5 app installed and enabled and auth (via OAuth Login) (from F-Droid)
  • the Etar Calendar app installed and enabled (from F-Droid)

• My DAVx5 colors config:

• Events are correctly synchronized in both directions:

• Issue:
  Events colors are not synchronized.
  Even if I change the color in Etar, after synchronization, the colors go back to the default Google calendar color

• Additional information:
  • My phone is Motorola Edge 50 Fusion with Android 15 (original soft, not rooted)
  • DAVx5 version: 4.4.7-ose
  • I also tried Fossify Calendar and it is the same behavior
  • I tried manual sync, turned it on, off, tried many ways and still the same problem
  • I tried disabling Manage calendar colors in DAVx5, but the problem still persists.
  • I found similar discussion but there is no solution or I still don't understand something 🤔

Is there a deeper problem here or am I just doing something wrong?

In FAQ there is something like _now Google Calendar doesn't allow to set colors for non-Google accounts at all_ but from what I understand this is a different case?

As far as I remember, Google Calendar's CalDAV API just doesn't export/use the color of events.

So colors can't be synchronized because Google won't export them to DAVx5 and drop the color out of events when it receives an event from DAVx5.
