Licence keys for F-droid version - for purchase?

It seems that currently the only way to buy a davx5 is via one of the big app stores:

• Google Play
• Galaxy Store
• Amazon...

I am looking into switching to GraphenOS (without Play store) in the future, and I wonder what the best option would be to purchase DavX5 - without the use of the big App-stores.
Is there a possibility to buy and/or use/transfer a licence key with the DAVx5 version from Fdroid?

Currently, I am using the free Fdroid version and I did a donation in the past - but I am willing to pay to get rid of the occasional donation reminders (after updates) and I am looking for options.

Hi, the donation reminders on F-Droid builds cannot be disabled, just delayed, we know that it might be an inconvenience, but DAVx⁵ is not accessed every day, so it should not be super bothering.

Regarding donations, as well as on the "big app stores", you can donate through Github Sponsors, or by visiting our website, which has more options.

The version for Amazon, Samsung and Huawei are drm-free, and these apks do not contain a donation dialog. If you look for the versions with "-standard" instead of "-ose" or "-gplay" in the web you'll probably find them ;-) But you'll miss the auto-update feature then and it is not guaranteed that migrations will work when updating from older to very new versions.

We are having some plans for the future to provide this version on our own via the website directly - but this will not happen in the near future.

It seems that for the time being I just continue using Fdroid in combination with occasional donations.
If you provided a possibility to buy a "license-key" directly, to get rid of the donation dialogue for the Fdroid version, I would happily opt for this in the future.

that's not so easy, and would involve some kind of license management or a licensing server and we don't want to provide or do that tbh :-)

I understand that implementing and supporting would be a lot of work, and there are no immediate plans to implement and support this.

Now I wonder, how this works with the big, commercial app-stores.
Do Google, Samsung, Amazon provide their own licence servers? Thinking about it, this must be the case. So this would be one of the "sevices" the app-stores proved to the developers.

These stores do not provide a typical licensing server, but in order to use their stores you need to be registered with their account servers. Purchases and also also free downloads are registered with your account there and when setting up new devices the purchases are synced with the installed store on this device and you'll be able to download the app again without paying another time because the purchase was saved inside your account (Google/Amazon/Samsung account). Internally there may be some kind of "license" when obtaining an app from a store, but developers are typically not involved here.
