Hi, When I add contacts to an event in my calendar, the email invitations are not being sent.
For example, when I create an event in Etar and add contacts/email addresses, I receive a notification saying that the invitations are being sent. However, when I reopen the event, the invited contacts are listed, but the invitations never reach the recipients. I’ve tested different calendar apps, various online calendars, multiple recipients, and different email apps with no success. Has anyone encountered this issue or have suggestions on how to troubleshoot the cause of this problem? |

Which server are you using? DAVx5 only supports invitations over the server. So the server should send invitations; DAVx5 itself only requests it from the server but doesn't do it itself. |

I'm not hosting any server myself so that will be the Google and Posteo servers? I.e., I added the Posteo calendar via URL and user name in DAVx5. Sorry if there's a misunderstanding and the way I expect e-mail invitations to work isn't supported. |

Wow, it never even occurred to me that this might be an option—but you're absolutely right. According to Posteo support:
On the web interface, there's a workaround: create the event, close it, reopen it, then export/send the invitation manually. As for Google—my bad. It actually works. Not sure what went wrong during testing. Thanks for the quick reply and all the great work—really appreciate it! |

Which server exactly? I have tried with Posteo and there is no possibility to add attendees in the Posteo Web interface, so it's well possible it may not support sending invitations too.
With Google I think it should work.
However to say more about this, we'd need more information about the actually used server and ideally exact steps to reproduce so that we can have a look.
