Bug since DAVx⁵ 4.1.1:

Since version DAVx⁵ 4.1.1 there is a new function "show a warning when disk space is low, which will stop synchronization".

Unfortunately this function seems to be buggy. I currently have 96% disk space occupied and DAVx no longer synchronizes.

But with 256 GB there are still 9 GB free space, so more than enough.

Please fix this bug as soon as possible, thanks.

Hello there, and thanks for reporting. In order to look into this, we need some more information.

• do you actually see the mentioned warning, or is the sync just not working?
• are you using a micro-SD card? (ie. for storage extension) Or solely internal storage space?
• please provide us with the logs ("Settings" -> "Show debug info") Should there be sensitive information you can send it as an email.

Yes, I am indeed seeing the error message (see screenshot attached) AND the sync is not working.

In this case everything is correct - although it seems buggy because 9GB should (obviously) be way enough for a sync.

But the limit is calculated by the Android System itself - and it differs from device to device, depending on the total storage (some undocumented % of total disk space). We can't do anything about it since this limit is used by the Android Sync Framework and DAVx5 is relying on the Sync Framework. So the system won't trigger a sync of DAVx5 anymore when the system reports that limit. DAVx5 can't run the sync by itself. This problem should be gone when we switch away from the Sync Framework to the Work Manager in late 2022. This is also a thing why we want to get rid of the dependency of the Sync Framework...

You can only free more disk space for now.
