Plugin install failed, error: plugin validation failed

I'm encountering an error when trying to install the Bitrise Remote Access CLI plugin.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Installed Bitrise CLI using Homebrew: brew install bitrise
2. Attempted to install the remote access plugin: bitrise plugin install https://github.com/bitrise-io/bitrise-remote-access-cli.git

Error Message

Plugin install failed, error: plugin validation failed

Environment

• OS: MacOS 14.7.1 (M2 chip)
• Bitrise CLI version: 2.31.0
• Git version: 2.39.5 (Apple Git-154)

Questions

1. What might be causing the "plugin validation failed" error?
2. Are there any logs I can check for more detailed error information?
3. How do I fix the problem?

Interesting, I can't reproduce the issue. What happens if you delete ~/.bitrise and run bitrise setup again?

Hi Oliver, I found out the reason why. I have 2 certificates and one of them is not included in the provisioning profile. When I deleted the extra certificate, the step succeeded. The issue is now resolved, however, in my opinion, the step shouldn't fail because one of the certificates does work. Please kindly consider changing the step logic to gracefully handle this case.
