Fine control required

My eyes are very sensitive and I need exact control over brightness. Years ago, Win10_BrightnessSlider was perfect for this, but now I've started to use this laptop again, the 5% steps of 1.8.22 are too much. Could we please have an option for fine control?

I would use fine control most of all when dragging with the mouse, but it would also be nice to use it with the keyboard. Perhaps if Shift is held down, the slider could move in increments of 1, or 5 without shift. (This use of keys doesn't require an option, but dragging of course does.)
