For authentication issues (401 errors), make sure you're using the authenticated port 8971 when configuring the integration. |

I currently have it set to 8971 and a user created in frigate for authentication, although I did see you could connect via the unauthenticated port 5000. I don't think having the unauthenticated port open is the way forward though if possble 
(Yes I know the user has nothing to do with mqtt, it was just easier at the time) |

TLS is already disabled (at least it should be in my config above). I have my reverse proxy working which requiered TLS to be disabled too. |

Adding to the above a little, I previously had an MQTT broker running in the same docker compose file that frigate was running on. Just to see if It would make any differnece, I've now worked out how to get an MQTT broker running on home assistant directly as an Add-on. I've confirmed this is working, and yet again the camera feed appears in home assistant, however the media all still shows as shown in the original issue. Again, any suggestions are appreciated. |

@Hubcraft101 I've found a fix, but it leads to other issues, and I have no idea what your config looks like so this may not help at all... I have a reverse proxy set up going to https://frigate.mydomain.com. If I point the integration towards this link it works! However... I can then only view the live stream for a few seconds before it cuts out. So in summary, you can view historic events but your live stream then breaks within home assistant. Have you managed to get any further with this? At this point, I am convinced it is a bug with the integration and not something specific with either of our setups. |

I have been slowly breaking it down and also posting the issue all over the Internet. I'm getting nothing. From my own efforts, I can hit the Frigate API (documented at https://docs.frigate.video/integrations/api/frigate-http-api) and get the correct responses using the same server, user, pass that I provide in the HA-Frigate integration. However, the integration API (that doesnt seem to be documented) that sits on HA is where all the 401 errors occur. I've got the "Enable the unauthenticated notification event proxy" enabled but when you hit it, it gives you "Authorization required" responses which makes no sense. If I uncheck that, then you get 403 error "Forbidden". I did that to see if it was actually doing anything and it seems like it is but it's not letting me hit that endpoint w/o auth like it's supposed to. I see articles of people wanting to actually secure that and complain about being able to hit the endpoints with any device. I wish I was them. I also edited the api.py that is in the HA-Frigate integration that is the client to Frigate's API. I added some additional logging code to spit out some of the authorization stuff it's doing to make sure that was doing what I was doing above and seems like it is. It's obviously working for some people and we got to be missing something. |

For now it looks like opening port 5000 seems to be the only way to completely fix this. I don't like the idea of having this port open, but for now I think it's my only choice. Let me know if you find another way around this, it would be good to potenially recognise this as a bug. I'll leave this discussion open as I don't really feel like this is a fix sadly, more of just a workaround for now. |

Describe the problem you are having
Hi, hopefully this is the correct place for an issue like this. I have recently set up Frigate and it works amazingly, however when it comes to the home assistant integration I'm having issues with getting Frigate media to show in HA.
When navigating to Media --> Frigate --> Clips I get the following:
Strangly, the camera feed shows absolutely fine in Home Assistant however since I'm using the lovelace card integration it just looks like this whenever I try to look at the clips:
If I attempt to download a clip from HA, I get a 401 error telling me my credentials are incorrect. I have checked and checked the username/password however nothing seems to work. I even tried making the password 15 characters long just in case it was an issue with password length.
Any help is appreciated, I'm hoping this is an easy issue to fix. I'm a fairly novice user however I really want to do my best to undertsand how this all works. The documentation covers so much but I just can't seem to find this specific setup.

I've never been 100% sure mqtt is set up correctly, happy to provide details for this if needed, I struggled to find how to properly set this up while I was setting up the Frigate integration for HA.
I had never set up a MQTT broker previously, so please let me know if this relies on MQTT and I can take a look at it again
