colour / color coding of camera views

Hello all

These colours show my camera data storage use:

This "review motion" view of events shows red timeline highlights for any of the cameras:

When I drag the timeline slider to a highlighted section, there's a highlighting border drawn in red around the active camera.

(I think I occasionally see orange as a highlighting colour but it isn't clear).

Is it feasible to use the colours in the first shot to highlight in the timeline which camera is responsible for which action, and additionally match by colour code the highlighting border?

Difficult for 100 cameras, easy for a lot fewer ... some form of palette control/patterning needed I suppose

the outline on the motion page shows you what cameras had alert (red) or detection (orange) activity. Changing the color to that used in the storage page would remove information

Perhaps the way I sometimes use Frigate is slightly different, in that case. I like to track an animal (muntjac deer) as it wanders into shot on camera one, strolls off and appears on camera three, turns round but goes via four back to one, then vanishes and appears on six etc. etc. In this case camera groups don't work (but I do use camera groups for other topics).

I do like the existing idea of red and orange but I tend to find the two quite difficult to discern (due to them intentionally being low saturation in the UI).

It's great fun, in any case!

Can you do me a screenshot please? I am being a bit slow, and I don't recognise the screen you're describing. Sorry!

I end up on this screen and I'm usually doing it on a PC with a decent monitor (but also similarly on an Android tablet with good success).

I use the timeline bar to scrub over a few hours (0400-0800) to see where the deer pops up on the eight cameras. You can imagine it's sometimes tricky to see which camera's active if the duration is quite brief.

click on one of the cameras from that screen, then you will be at the screen I am referring to where you have the main camera that is large and then all the other cameras below it. That makes it easy to switch to the next camera.
