Bandwidth not updating

I'm using VBR streams for recording and they are using more bandwidth at night because of more noise.
However the bandwidth values in metrics are never updated, which would make them not accurate.
I would more like to see the actual bandwidth usage in the past hour instead of that at startup.

I looked into the code and found

Is it by design not to update bandwidth once a camera has more than 50 segments?

The bandwidth is calculated over the course of all recordings. It is not a "current stream bandwidth" which would not make any sense on that page, as that is related to storage.

In Frigate 0.16 you can see the live bandwidth using the stream stats feature in the live UI

I mean all you have to do is restart one time after adding the camera to have it be updated, at which point the value will be representative as an average for the full days worth of recordings.

It is worth mentioning that CBR is recommended for a variety of reasons as well.

I waited one week and the values are all the same

I started to notice that values after changing some stream parameters.
previous:

15 fps
30 i-frame interval

now:

15 fps
60 i-frame interval

I restarted frigate and waited one week but the values never changed
There may be a bug in the calculation

did you restart after waiting a week? because like we just said it only refreshes on restart

ok, now restarted again and the values changed.

If it only refreshes on restart then it is totally meaningless.
