External HDD for storage

I have frigate setup via docker and docker compose, and have a 4TB external ssd for recordings.

Everything works great but the ssd is nearing capacity. I have an external HDD laying around that I could use instead (I believe this model)

Before ripping everything apart tho, I thought I’d check here to see if this would work or if there’s any issues I may run into using this instead of a ssd or nas.

Any advice or thoughts would be great, thanks!

One of my installations has an external 4TB USB3 HDD with 5 cameras. No issues. Just set up your mount and the map in Docker and you should be good to go.
