Keep Past Retention Settings

I couldn't find this suggested, but what about adding an option to mark an event as "keep" so when your retention say 7 days passes the and other events that day are removed, the selected event stays in frigate without having to export it to one of your devices.

That's what exporting is for. It's not clear what you mean by not having to export to another device. That is not a requirement.

Sorry to clarify exports duplicate the recording that was already created for an event. I was thinking keep the event itself without duplicating in the exports section. Unless I misunderstand how exports work.

yes but that is not a good idea, there are multiple advantages to exports:

1. You can name them so it is easy to remember why they were saved, and makes them searchable
2. They have their own section so they are easier to find
3. They are saved separately as a single file instead of just being kept as .mp4 segments which makes them more portable and in the event that the Frigate database is lost they are still usable without needing to move across the recording file structure
