Difference between finetune method, native and dreambooth?

I've used dreambooth and finetune so far, seem similar but finetune seems to result in weaker model.
I guess the different settings used to train will play some part, however even increasing the strength of the finetune LORA just either distorts the image or introduces artifacts.
