I'm trying to integrate boto3 according to this blogpost https://www.codingforentrepreneurs.com/blog/django-static-files-digitalocean-spaces/ .

When running python manage.py collectstatic I recive the following error:

What is the problem in this case? I've searched a lot but couldn't manage to find anything...

I found a couple similar issues on stackOverflow listed below and the possible cause mentioned in those posts is because of the lack of return from a function or join method which simply returns None.

having the same issue from botocore. seem like a problem with botocore.

currently using latest version of django-storages and boto related packages. using digitalocean spaces as storage. previous server works, once change to new server (ubuntu 22, same code base, nothing change), this issue happened.
