Upgrade containerd to v2

Lately, containerd v2 was released, and I am eager to test some new features in my EKS cluster.

Do you have plans to upgrade it soon ?

Hello @seifrajhi, thanks for the heads up! Upgrading to containerd 2.0 is something we are tracking, but we need to do thorough testing to make sure the APIs we depend on (e.g. the soon to be deprecated Registry Mirrors) still work on Bottlerocket. I'll check with the team whether we want to keep this ticket here or in the Bottlerocket OS repo.
