Inclusive Gateway is missing in the list

Describe the Bug

The inclusive Gateway is missing in the list for the left panal.

By entering Gateway. It shows up.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Click on the three dots in the vertical panel to open the sub menu

=> Inclusive Gateway is missing.

Thanks for reporting.

The create/append anything menu builds on the premise that you "find what you're searching for, when searching". At the same time it guides you towards good choices (when exploring, i.e. scrolling). We don't show the event-based gateway and the complex gateway either.

What is your issue with the inclusive gateway not showing up when scrolling? I'd argue that the create menu should de-prioritize gateways (in favor of tasks), in that situation you'll not actually see the inclusive gateway missing.

It doesn't show up when scrolling. It appears when filtering/searching. It is not expected from the user, that the inclusive gateway will appear because the section looks "relative" complete. Same is true for the events.

I think that's a bit confusing.

You argue we should simply add the inclusive gateway to the "per default shown" list? It will still be "confusing" for rarely used elements such as the event-based gateway.

I get the part with the rarely used elements. In my experience and what our users told us is the inclusive not the same as i.e. a complex gateway which we discourage to use, too.

But the issue is more about the discoverability.

I haven't had the time to check but the events seem to be completly "scrollable", that's why we were suspecting an issue in the first place.

Of the top of my head

• maybe there should be a "frequently used" section and below the rest.
• or a hint text in the search box (I thought this would be just a filter)
• or just add the inclusive gateway 😉

Worth discussing whether to add inclusive gateway to the list directly, or whether to make this concern pluggable.

Maybe you could add a star or heart icon to the popup saying that it is a filtered or favourite list.
The list could be toggled to all items or the favourites.
