Abandonware - but still in good use

@cespare Hey Caleb, thank you for this gem, I still use it to this day to improve all kinds of connectivity functions easily without copying around the same retry-boilerplate I always use.
I'd really like this gem to continue or even evolve (see V2 PR), so if you're willing to put some time into it or pass it on, I'd even be happy to contribute.

Maybe we should maintain a fork, but delegating permissions for the original gem would be nice, yes.

I don't have access to this repo anymore, and it has been many years since I used Ruby. @AlexWayfer since you seem to have a long-standing interest in this repo, I made you an owner of the gem. You can just fork the repo.

Thank you! I appreciate this. I'll try to make a good fork, with changes from mentioned #9, and publish it as a new major version.

@gr8bit your contributions, as well as from anyone else, will be welcomed.

I need for maybe one or two weeks to find time for this. I'll report about progress here separately.
