How to create a new mapping to go to next matched word in find mode

Not sure why this doesn't work? It used to, before the upgrade to v1.0:

api.vmapkey('k', "next match", function() { Visual.next(false) })
api.vmapkey('K', "prev match", function() { Visual.next(true) })

This doesn't work either:

api.vmap('k', 'n')
api.vmap('K', 'N')

Any hints? Thanks.
