Weird ampersand in full text

The ampersand is appearing in certain articles, following the leading sentence and before the start of the main text. Here is an example.

The sign was also visible on the page below, but when I clicked to create space between the two sentences and clicked back it was removed. However, the result of that is that the image is now html.
