Acceptance criteria

When enabling helper text for individual checkbox items within a checkbox group, the helper text needs to be vertically aligned with the checkbox text (image attached for reference).

Tasks
Adjust and rectify the issue in the Figma kit.

  • Fix the alignment of the helper text.
  • Consider and set the maximum length for the helper text. After setting up the max width, we might need to create a separate issue to update different components accordingly.)

Review

  • Carbon designer

Additional Considerations:

  • It might also be necessary to highlight this in the documentation, depending on how the developers present it in the React Storybook.

Additional information

  • Note: (Anna mentioned) This work would all go under one epic as well so we wouldn't update this in the kit until we had the code for it and additionally we would want to update the website docs to include this as well. We would build this epic out in refinement after the initial enhancement issue was made.
