Ensoniq VFX (SD)

Hi, I noticed on the main github page that Ensoniq VFX is listed in alpha. I came here as I was looking for a sysex librarian for my VFX-SD but then saw its not listed in the setup page in the editor.

Is this something I can contribute to, time permitting? I am a programmer.

Hi @dancingdog! Thanks for asking - maybe the VFX adaptation is just missing from the installer. Are you on Windows or Mac, and did you check the log that Python is found?

The adaptations are little Python programs, here is the link to the VFX file:

You can download it and put it into the user adaptation directory and relaunch Orm to pick it up (directory can be set via menu)

If you encounter problems, feel free to report here or open a new issue.

Thank you, the VFX.py file loads. Now I see that the Sysex data I am receiving is missing bytes or corrupted. I'll work on that with my interface and hopefully make some progress. Thank you for creating this software.

I discovered my ESI U86 audio+Midi interface doesn't handle the sysex well - it corrupts. Now with a new Midi interface all seems well.
The librarian is working perfectly with my VFX-SD, at least with everything I havev tried so far.

Oh, that's great to hear! Then I can include the file in the next official release and bump its status to "works" I guess :)
