Hello!

There are a lot of references to analytics in the commit messages, but no documentation. Specifically, what do analytics mean for users of Cloudscape that aren't AWS? Are analytics configurable? Are they opt-in? Opt-out? On by default or off by default?

Hi Marios,

The components library itself doesn't send telemetry, but is written to use existing an telemetry service loaded on the page to submitting certain events. So if you use Cloudscape in an project outside of AWS, the components don't send any telemetry data.

Can we get some documentation about this? For users of the components outside of AWS, the unclear workings of the analytics can be a blocker for adopting Cloudscape. I understand that this isn't an issue of the components. If there is a better place to discuss this, please let me know.
