Is it possible to add hosts via the command line and using bash/Ansible to script such?

We don't have an off the shelve solution for this but it is certainly possible to create the files yourself in /etc/cockpit/machines.d/, I'd add a test host and replicate it.

Note that the host switcher is deprecated.
